1: The Way -- Unknown origin The way is long -- let us go together The way is difficult -- let us help each other The way is joyful -- let us share it The way is ours alone -- let us go in love The way grows before us -- let us begin
2: Our story...... Basanta and Gunu first met in November, 1998 at dinner party which was hosted by a good friend of theirs, Laxmi Shahi. At that time, Gunu had been living in the United States for several years and was visiting friends and family in Nepal. Basanta and Gunu became good friends almost immediately. During that visit in 1998, they discussed many things including that they were both very loving and caring people. After her return to the US, they continued to communicate via phone and written correspondence, and they became dear friends, confidants and shoulders to lean on. Their friendship continued to grow over the next several years. They saw each other again on the occasion of Gunu's next visit home to Nepal in August 2005. During this visit to Nepal, they spent a significant amount of time with one another visiting friends and family, but were careful not to hurt one another’s feelings as they understood that they lived worlds apart from one another. It was upon her third visit home to Nepal in September 2008 that they truly committed themselves to one another. It was during this visit that Basanta pledged himself to Gunu – it was at this time that he said that he would only marry Gunu – if she did not marry him, he pledged to be a single man until the day he died. Basanta’s commitment to Gunu -- made her realize that she did nott want to live the rest of her life as a single woman and that Basanta was the only man for her. During that visit to Nepal, Gunu asked Basanta to move to the United States and to marry her, and he immediately accepted. Upon her return to the United States, Gunu determined that the best way for her to make this happen was for her to become a US Citizen and file a petition for Basanta to come to the US as my fiancé. And, he did and here we are.......

11: Wedding Vows - Apache Wedding Poem Now for you there is no rain For one is shelter to the other. Now for you there is no darkness For one is counsel to the other. Now for you there is no pain For one is comfort to the other. Now for you there is no night For one is light to the other. Now for you there is no cold For one is warmth to the other. Now for you the snow has ended, always Your fears, your wants, your needs are at rest. It is that way today, tomorrow and forever. Now it is good and there is always shelter. And now there is always one. And now there is no loneliness. Now, forever, forever you are as one. There are two bodies. But now there is only one heart in both And you are as one person.
