ADAM PROCTOR MCLEOD and I met in grade 7 at Ridley College. We spent the next 7 years hanging around the campus. Whenever we were both back home from University, you could bet that we would be at the Honest Lawyer watching a football game and having some wings. Just don't ask Adam about the stereo installation job that caused his dash lights to short out during his drive home from Buffalo in a blizzard. .
NICOLAS VONBREDOW and I met in grade 7 at Ridley College. During this time, we played a lot of hockey and traveled all over playing our favourite sports. Although Nic comes from a VW family, we still remained friends. Now we spend out summer weekends up at Nic's cottage where you can find us down at the water, relaxing with a drink.
ROB WHEELER and I have been friends since the day I was born. We grew up in Pebble Beach Court, a circle that lead to lots of great memories and injuries. As kids, we could be found out in the circle, no matter what the weather was like. Usually, we would be playing hockey, where somehow, together with Rob's brother, we made a 30 game hockey season, with playoffs. We could also be seen biking at top speeds with each other in tow behind on a skateboard, with no safety gear of course. Although we live in different cities now, we still meet to play a game of hockey or for a drink down in Port.
I met DANA ROUND in the summer of 2003 as we were playing soccer. What Beth didn't mention was that she was dating him at the time. Soon after I stood up in Dana's wedding party as he and Beth were married. Since then we have spent many days painting, laying floors and doing many other things to Beth & Dana's house.
JENNIFER DRINGUS and I met in first year at Brock University. We were both studying business with a concentration in accounting.. Over the years, our friendship grew very strong. Jenn was always there to lend a listening ear when I was excited or stressed about school or roommates. When Colin and I met, he would invite me out for wings and football.. | I would always drag Jenn along so I wouldn't be the only girl. I even called Jenn to discuss my "relationship" with Colin before there was any relationship to discuss. With Jenn's encouragement and support, Colin and I started dating.
ADELLE NYKAMP is my younger sister and growing up, I didn't let her forget it. We shared everything, including a bedroom. It was quite the experience. Dad often said we were either "best of friends or best of enemies". Having a sister that is only 15 months younger is a blessing that is hard to describe. We have a bond that is stronger than any friendship I have ever experienced. | When I moved away to university, it was an emotional time. Up to that point, we had never been separated. I was blessed to be a part of Adelle's wedding party when she married Phil. Now I have Phil & Adelle to thank for my beautiful niece Lacey.
JENNI HUBER and I met while working at General Motors. After knowing each other for only 4 months, Jenni bought a house and I chose to move in with her. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. We made so many amazing memories in that house and had many great parties. It soon became a meeting place for all our friends. | Our parties frequently revolved around some sort of delicious meal that Jenni had cooked up for all of us. It wasn't long before Jenni became best of friends with all my friends and Colin's friends. Now its hard to imagine ever not having been friends with her.
My history with JENNIE DONKER goes way back to our parents and grandparents. Our families have been friends for decades (literally). It was inevitable that she and I would become best of friends. I can't remember a time we were not friends. With my sister Adelle and Jennie's sister Gina, we had many adventures. These adventures included camping. at | Valens, canoeing to "the island", biking trails, working together at Dutch Mill, and babysitting all Jennie's younger brothers. She's basically the 4th sister that I never had. It's a major honour to have her stand up with me at my wedding.
"Man & wife, being two, are one in love." -William Shakespeare
To the world you are one person But to me, you are the world.
 C | & | L
 C | & | L
"IT ONLY TAKES A SECOND TO SAY 'I LOVE YOU' BUT A LIFETIME TO SHOW IT."
