FC: Melinda & Justin September 24, 2011

 Bascom & Gammon

To love is nothing... To be loved is something... To love and be loved is everything... | Family and friends, we have been invited here today to share with Melinda and Justin a very important moment in their lives.

Where does the family start? It starts with a young man falling in love with a young woman. | In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife.

"Believe in happily ever after, and it will come true"

Friendship isn't a big thing, it's a million little things.

 Bride | Bridesmaids

and loves you anyway. | A friend is someone who knows all about you

 true | Love

 I will love you forever

A daughter is a little girl who grows up to be a friend.

Our wedding day has finally come... | Justin and Melinda, do you pledge to each other to be loving friends and partners in marriage. To talk and to listen, to trust and appreciate one another; to respect and cherish each other's uniqueness, and to support, comfort, and strengthen each other through life's joys and sorrows. Do you promise to share your hopes, thoughts, and dreams as you build your lives together.

asking that you be no other than yourself, loving what I know of you, trusting what I do not know yet, in all the ways that life may find us. | I, Melinda, take you, Justin as my friend and love, beside me and apart form me, in laughter and in tears, in conflict and tranquility,

Melinda, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you, in the name of God. | A son is a son till he takes him a wife. A daughter is a daughter all her life.

Lean on each other's strengths; forgive each other's weaknesses. | Love doesn't make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.

These are the hands that will give you support as she encourages you to chase down your dreams. Together as a team, everything you wish for can be realized.

These are the hands that will tenderly lift your chin and brush your cheek as they raise your face to look into his eyes: eyes that are filled completely with his overwhelming love and desire for you. | These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes: tears of sorrow and tears of joy. | These are the hands that will hold each child in tender love, soothing them through illness and hurt, supporting and encouraging them along the way, and knowing when it is time to let go.

My greatest wish for the two of you is that through the years your love for each other will so deepen and grow, that years from now you will look back on this day, your wedding day, as the day you loved each other the least.

These are the hands of your best friend, smooth, young and carefree, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as she promises her love and commitment to you all the days of her life. | These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness. | These are the hands that will comfort you when you are sick, or console you when you are grieving.

"This day I will marry my friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love."

These are the hands that will work along side yours, as together you build your future, as you laugh and cry, as you share your innermost secrets and dreams.

Congratulations on the beginning of your fairytale.

"Man & wife, being two, are one in love." -William Shakespeare

Two people, two hearts, two lives, become one heart, one mind, one new life together.

I love you not only for what you are, but for who I am when I am with you.

"There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved."

May you have happiness, and may you find it making one another happy. May you have love, and may you find it loving one another.

The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

May your marriage bring you all the exquisite excitement marriage should bring, and may life grant you also patience, tolerance, and understanding.

It only take a second to say "I love you" but a lifetime to show it.

I can express no kinder sign of love, than this kiss.

"A hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you."

I want to grow old with you...

Everything I love is everything you are. | May you always need one another- not so much to fill your emptiness as to help you to know your fullness. A mountain needs a valley to be complete; the valley does not make the mountain less, but more; and the valley is more a valley because it has a mountain towering over it.

Love is a collaboration | May you need one another, but not out of weakness. May you want one another, but not out of lack. May you entice one another, but not compel one another. May you embrace one another, but not out encircle one another. May you succeed in all important ways with one another, and not fail in the little graces. May you look for things to praise, often say, "I love you!" and take no notice of small faults.

Look at the past only with fondness, look at the future only with hope, enjoy the present for it is only a moment.

Love that is true never grows old. | Marriage deepens and enriches every facet of life. Happiness is fuller, memories are fresher, commitment is stronger, even anger is felt more strongly, and passes away more quickly.

Nothing is worth more than this day. | When two people pledge their love and care for each other in marriage, they create a spirit unique unto themselves which binds them closer than any spoken or written words.

Picture perfect moments. | Marriage is a promise, a potential made in the hearts of two people who love each other and takes a lifetime to fulfill

You are my sunshine my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.

No boy is worth crying over and the one who is won't make you cry.

Love shortens time, charms the hours. Love is invincible. | Marriage is a commitment to life, the best that two people can find and bring out in each other. It offers opportunities for sharing and growth that no other relationship can equal. It is a physical and an emotional joining that is promised for a lifetime.

There is no place I would rather be than with you. | Within the circle of its love, marriage encompasses all of life's most important relationships. A wife and a husband are each other's best friend, confidant, lover, teacher, listener, and critic.

Today is the tomorrow, we dreamt about yesterday. | Marriage understands and forgives the mistakes life is unable to avoid.

Love stretches your heart and makes you happy inside. | It encourages and nurtures new life, new experiences, new ways of expressing a love that is deeper than life.

May you enter into the mystery which is the awareness of one another's presence-

The wedding is the event, the marriage is the journey. | No more physical than spiritual, warm, and near when you are side by side, and warm and near when you are in separate rooms or even distant cities.
