13: APRIL I flew out to spend a few days with Lara and to see her 'Opera WorkShop' performances.
14: Age is merely the number of years the world has been enjoying you. | Upper Left: On Mother's Day Denise and Ryan had a barbecue on their newly redone deck. Kitties joined us. Lower Left: On my birthday, Bob made us dinner. Both Ryan and Bob had picked out the exact same birthday card! Too funny... Right Page: Bob's birthday and Father's Day celebration on our back patio.

19: Memorial Day Weekend with Rusty & Wendy at Sam E. Baker state park in southeast Missouri.
21: We went to Fort Donaldson and Elephant Rocks State Park,where the remaining walls of the 'Engine House' are also there. 2011 was the hatching year of a 9-year cicada cycle. The sound of them was everywhere and constant!
22: Most of these photos are from the St. Francois River. We found cool fossil rocks and we snorkeled and floated down the river the next day. This is also where we found the pretty butterflies.
23: YOUNGS: Aubrey, Bryce & Hailey
24: A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. | We went on a Pontoon Boat ride with Marty and Terry. It started at the Tenney Locks, went down the river, through Lake Monona and ended up in McFarland where we stopped and had breakfast. Then the boat took us back. Right Page: Our last summer in the Forbes boat. Dinner and tubing with Ann, Milo, Bill & Judy.

26: Time | FAMILY | Melynda and Rebekah came here for a week near July 4th. We had fun at the Zoo, Children's Museum, duck pond, lake and more.

29: In August, we flew out for Jed Pitcher's funeral. We met Lara in Salt Lake City and spent Saturday afternoon with her at temple Square.

32: SEPTEMBER Bob and I flew to Provo on Friday night, so that we could attend Lara's Junior Recital on Saturday at UVU. She sang beautifully and we are so proud of her. Afterward, we all went out to dinner. We flew home on Sunday morning.

34: Corky and Jeri drove out in October and stayed with us for 3 days. We had a blast!
35: Fall We ushered at APT, Bob took photos, Bob & Ryan took a sky diving class together and we and the Forbes had dinner at the Smith's home in Richland Center.

37: While in California, I went trick or treating with James and Kevin. Daphne ate pumpkin while her mom carved one. Rebekah & Hailey went to a Halloween festival in Austin.
39: At the end of October Debbie went to Southern California to see family. She & Kevin's family went to a Apple Orchard and watched them pressing fresh cidar (left). James had a great time exploring there while on his 'monkey' leash. We all went to church in Placentia together. (above)

42: HAPPY | Left: We celebrated the holiday on Saturday with Denise's family at Ryan's house. Denise cooked us a gourmet feast, and Rita and I contributed a few side dishes. : Right: After 3 1/2 years of serving in the Richland Center Branch as Stake Leadership Missionaries, we and the Forbes were released. (Bill & Judy had served over 4 years)
