I explained that it meant there was no dirt on the side of the road to pull over on or to protect your car from falling off the edge. OH, you both said. A few weeks later as we were driving down a different road, you asked "Mommy, is this a road with no ELBOW?" We all laughed a bit and reminded you it was shoulder. | Fun Stories that tell about you at age 6 | For bedtime, you have some interesting routines. You sometimes call "I'm with Daddy" which means that you'll get to lay in mommy's spot in the bed and watch whatever daddy is watching in TV. Or, if you are "with mommy" we will read a book or lay and talk. When I finally leave you want your music on (to the same song on repeat mode). The song you listen to is J-E-S-U-S which is to the tune of B-I-N-G-O. I have to check on you in 5 minutes, give you kissing hands on both hands, and keep the door open. When I come back to check, you get another kiss and hug and I blow you a kiss. The next time I check you are almost always asleep.

You thought it looked like Mashed Potatoes.
89: You didn't like using the snorkel, but you'd use your mask to see a cool fish if we spotted one. Some of the kiddie pools had thousands of little fish that you could swim right through. We also watched the big white bird swoop in and eat them and a boy caught a bunch in a net to feed the gulls.

We have logged a lot of miles together riding the fun trails of West Des Moines. And guess what? You also learned to ride your bike without training wheels! It was so easy - we went down to the trail by the church one afternoon in June and you took off on the first try. You had to work at learning to start on your own for a few days, but you definitely got the hang of it. quick. Way to Go Hallie!
