FC: Moving to Delaware, living on food stamps, & other misadventures
7: In October 2010, Asa drove with me from Texas to Nashville to Washington D.C. to keep me entertained on my long drive to Delaware, where I was starting my AmeriCorps job as Marketing & Design Coordinator for Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. Claire, who found me the job, was starting to work for Habitat too as a member of the Construction Crew. Soon enough, we found adventure, new friends, and something that we thought was impossible--a higher tolerance for booze.

20: I didn't think I could love D.C. any more... until the cherry blossoms seriously blew my mind. The entire tidal basin was decorated with the beautiful pink and white blossoms that make an appearance every year at the end of March. We were lucky enough to visit on the "peak bloom" day: Monday, March 29, 2011.

34: FALL FOLIAGE
35: Claire, Jess, and I drove from Georgetown to Burlington, VT to visit our former AmeriCorps co-worker, Marv, and check out the beautiful fall foliage. We picked apples, visited the Ben & Jerry's factory, and took a--I took--a ton of pictures. Claire and I were giddy at the sight of yellow, orange, and red leaves, and basically acted like children the entire time. It was also freezing, hence why I am wrapped in a sleeping bag while Claire feeds me breakfast sausage. | 1...2...3... "I VT!!!"
