Most likely to: Make you curse my name in class, but love me so much after!!! | Tara "Tiny T" Gwynn | Goal for the Year: Progressively attend more classes weekly, visit other PB studios, and help women taking my to class to have the best 1 hour to themselves where they can relieve any stress from their daily lives and zone in on their minds, bodies, and spirits.

36: Kara Sabin | I found Pure Barre in April 2011 and have been addicted ever since. No matter how tired I was from work, I made sure to be at the barre at least 5-6 days a week. Not only was it the best workout I have ever had, but I really loved the people I met there and the entire Pure Barre staff. By October I was in the best shape of my life. On October 17th I got my Pure Barre workout in early and continued on to work. On my way home that afternoon I was involved in a serious car accident. My car was hit head on at about 50mph and I was left with a broken femur and broken kneecap. I now have a titanium rod in my femur and my knee cap is wired together. I spent 9 days in the hospital and 6 weeks completely inactive, leaving my muscles to atrophy. My doctors assured me that because I was in such good physical shape at the time of my accident, I would recover far quicker than most. I owe that to Pure Barre. Until I found Pure Barre, working out was a chore and something I put off doing. Pure Barre changed my body, my attitude towards exercise and now gave me a reason to work through the pain so I could get back to what I love. They told me it would be six months at least before I was back to work or working out, but 2 months post-surgery I was walking on my own and in to Pure Barre. My doctors were so impressed with my progress and how quickly I was healing. And they agreed that this amazing approach to exercise was exactly what I needed to rebuild my muscle loss and get me back to normal as soon as possible. To me Pure Barre is far more than a workout. It's where I go to lift, tone and burn, but also get away from everything. For that hour I am able to completely focus on myself. Pure Barre Louisville is far more than your typical gym or studio, it is a community, a family. The same people that pushed me to work harder when I was well, were the same people sending me messages, flowers and encouragement when I was sick, and welcomed me back with open arms as I work my way back to a full recovery. I am forever grateful to have found Pure Barre and to be apart of this special family.

37: Brenda Brooks | When I found the Pure Barre studio in Louisville, I weighed more than I had ever weighed in my life. From my first visit Lucy, Karen, and Chastity were so warm, welcoming, and encouraging that I felt it didn't matter that I was overweight and out of shape. Each month brought more inches and pounds melting away or maybe I should say Lifted. Toned. and Burned. away! After 10 months I have gone from a size 14 to a size 8, and have lost 4 1/2 inches from my waist, 4 inches from my hips, and 2 inches from my thighs! I've become so hooked on Pure Barre that I celebrated my 60th birthday by taking a PB class! | BEFORE | AFTER!

39: I recently tried on REAL clothes again for the first time in 2 weeks and its now been 6 weeks since I started Pure Barre, and I am absolutely thrilled with how my clothes fit and look on me! I still have 15 pounds to lose and some toning to do as well but I can guarantee you that I wouldn't be as far along as I am right now if it wasn't for Pure Barre Louisville! I have always been a runner and into high impact exercise like kick boxing and none of that has worked like Pure Barre has! The results are amazing! AND, not only are the instructors fabulous but they are so motivating, supportive and they create such a positive atmosphere to such a point that you truly miss them and the studio when you are not there! We are always inspired by women who can achieve a balance with family and work, while having passion about what they do. Allow me to introduce you to Lucy Gentry and Karen Handel, the co-owners of Pure Barre in Westport Village. Both ladies juggle two kids each and two careers a piece, all the while lifting, toning and burning our bodies. | Karen, what is your favorite thing about Lucy? -Lucy is a therapist, so she has a very calming demeanor. This is fantastic about her, not just because I get my therapy for free, but also because she is very cool-headed during our most stressful and challenging times. I believe to become successful at any business, this is a key trait. It also is a nice and vital balance to my divide and conquer mentality. | Lucy, what is your favorite thing about Karen? -Oh my, does it have to be just one?! Her work ethic, honesty, loyalty, style, love for shopping and sense of humor!
