There are clear remains around this pool from the Byzantine church built by Empress Eudocia. This is the pool that has long been visited as the pool of Jesus' miracle.

Jan 2013: The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon. - Psalms 92:!2 Believers are often likened to trees in Scripture. "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers (Psalms 1:3). Remember a planted tree is not a wild tree. A planted tree is cared of, it is nurtured. What does it means to flourish like a palm tree and grow like a cedar of Lebanon? In Scripture, the palm always refers to the date palm! It has extremely deep tap roots, thus it flourish even in the | Cedar Tree of Lebanon | desert. It is also the most useful of all trees. Not only does it produce dates, but can also be used to produce sugar, wine, honey, oil, resin, rope, thread, tannin and dyestuff. Its seeds are fed to cattle and its leaves are used for roofs, fences, mats, etc Cedar Trees often live for a long time because their moist habitat makes them almost free of fire and their wood is highly disease resistant. The oil of the wood is toxic to insect and fungus, making it a good insect repellent. Every part of the whole cedar tree is useful to humans. The wood can be used to make weapons, canoes and other boats. The bark for making blankets, capes and costumes. Cedars are also an excellent source of fuel. The most interesting thing I find about the cedar tree is its root system. It has deep roots - For every meter above the ground, the roots grow 3 meters deep. Where cedar trees grow, soil erosion is prevented. Because it sinks deep into the ground, the cedar can also withstand heavy winds and even heavy snow without uprooting and toppling over. So flourish like palm tree and grow like a cedar of Lebanon....living long, extending far and wide, deeply rooted that not even a drought can drain you. Let only the voice of God uproot you.

BC: Blessed Year Wendy! Thank you for all your hard work. Love Ken and Celine
