2: Charles Drew Birth: June 3,1904 Died: April 1,1950 | Charles Drew discovered how to keep blood longer than two days. He found out that if he separated the plasma (the liquid part of blood) and put them in a refrigerate, it could last up to a week. In addition to the plasma discovery, Charles discovered that everyone had the same plasma. In certain situation, any blood type can be given to a person. Charles Drew influenced how we can give blood and hospitals can save countless lives. The government doesn't have to spend a lot of money for funerals home and grave yard places,too.
3: J. Robert Oppenheimer Birth:April 22,1904 Died:February 18, 1967 Manhattan Project's Atomic Bomb | In June 1942, he was the leader of the Manhattan Project. The U.S. team and him created the atomic bomb. The downside was that him and his team never thought of how many people might die. Through out his lifetime he was an amazing teacher and physicist. He changed the way we have war to extremely deadly. We now have the technology for new weapons and jobs to discovery these things.
4: Henry Louis Gates | He wrote many articles and books about African Americans. Talking from the point of view of African Americans and studies of them. We now look at the way how we thought back then. We can try to prove that some facts in history were wrong.
5: Maya Angelou She was a global renowned arts person. She's poet, novelist, educator,actress, and civil rights activist. She studied modern dance and wrote over 30 best selling books, like I Know Why the Caged Birds Sings. While in 1966, she directed her first film, Down in the Delta. She is mostly known for what she writes. Maya Angelou has representative us by how she writes and her thoughts are portrayed in what she writes.
6: Frank Lloyd Wright Birth:June 8,1867 Death:April 9, 1959 | Frank Lloyd Wright changed our culture in architecture. He built the falling-water houses. He built his first one out of appreciation of the sounds of a waterfall. Frank Lloyd Wright influenced how we can build amazing houses and places. In addition to that, it teaches us that we can build almost out | anything without interrupting nature. It can give us more money.
7: Martha Graham made modern dances' pathway. Her dance requires being very flexibility and discipline. Most people at first didn't understand what it was, but it showed off what she make. It gave ideas to other people on dance. It proved that out bodies could move in anyway and people payed to watch and learn how to dance like that. | Martha Graham
8: Bill Gates | Bill Gates started to program computers at age 13. When he was at Harvard, he developed a basic programming for language. After awhile he left Harvard to devote his life to Microsoft. He donated money to organization that supported his program. He created a new and easier way | to write. Also educate people and printing new stuff. It gave money to support education and organization. Now, everyone can use a program that's type easier and neater.
9: Ray Kroc set up the franchise business. When he bought the McDonald's business and set his goals high. He ran the business like a factory of making hot foods. He made it a world wide name in food thats cheap. Since there was low fees to open up new spots, it made it easy for him to open up new stores everywhere. Ray Kroc | Ray Kroc | influenced how we can make money fast with fast foods. It showed how we can make food fast, too. It caused many people to get chubby though.
