4: The day we found out about you We had been trying to have another baby for about 5 years and literally were about to give up. Mommy started a new job July 1, 2010 which was based in Charleston, SC. Perks were that I got to work from home and travel to SC once a month. We found out that you were conceived two weeks after I started my new job! Guess the stress of the old job and fact that I was always home late impacted your arrival any sooner! But, regardless, we were soooooo excited about the news! At 39, I was considered "high risk" so they monitored the entire pregnancy very closely.

5: Willem was the most excited - especially when I told him that he could officially announce you to the world. He helped me pick out the photos for your birth announcement. He was so proud to say that you were his little brother!

6: This Day in History - April 29, 2011 The Royal Wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Kate Middleton My water broke at about 2:30 a.m. We called our friends Alyssa and Beau to drop Willem off at their house. Luckily, Alyssa and Mallory were wide awake getting ready to watch the Royal Wedding! We also watched it most of the day from the hospital room. It was quite the news event of the day/month/year!!!

10: FIRST PEEK | You were born at Exeter Hospital on April 29, 2011. We arrived at the hospital around 5:00 a.m. Fortunately, our doctor was on call for the weekend. She stopped in to see me in the morning. The funny thing is that I had an appointment with her at 3:00 p.m. this same day so I jokingly told her to "keep my appointment" as she would be delivering you at that time. She came back around 2:00 and you weren't ready. But. at 3:00 I knew you were ready to come! The nurses said "why don't you push while we wait for Dr. Carone to come, and I replied "Oh, no.. you don't want me to do that!" They didn't believe me when I said I would get you out in 2 pushes. Sure enough, Dr. Carone got there and said "ready when you are." and first push, out popped your head; second push you were in my arms! Everyone was in complete shock! Daddy & I were so happy to have you in the world! | Delivered by Dr. Evelyn Carone

One thing that we take great pride in doing is taking time throughout the year to give to those that are less fortunate. There is no better time of year to do just that than around the holidays. Every child in this world deserves to enjoy the magic of the holiday season. Always do what you can to spread the joy and love!
