1: Glenbow Museum and the Fur Trade | All the grade 5's and a great bunch of parent volunteers and teachers took a trip to the Glenbow Museum in Calgary. Here they learned all about the Fur Trade and the way of life of a Voyageur. In this book you will get a small glimpse of the great adventure the 5's embarked on....

10: Sing language was used as a means of communication between First Nations and Europeans | Blue beads became a new colour in First Nation apparel once blue dye was readily available from Europeans

11: Canoes were used by Voyageurs to cross Canadian land. Voyageurs had to sometimes portage across land carrying canoes and goods on their backs and shoulders.
