4: Mark was a short 15-year old teenager with spiky, blond hair, wearing a green T-shirt and jeans. He was in an exceptionally good mood today. It was today that the captains were going to choose their teams for the international competitions. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

5: He ate his usual breakfast, chopping up two soft bananas, tossing them into the blender, added a bit of wheat germ and shake powder. Then he pressed the button and poured himself a bowl of energy cereal while waiting for his banana shake. He had found that this sort of meal gave him strength and did not make him unhealthy, rather helping him be the athletic young person he was now. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

6: Mark was excited as he walked into the basketball court. The players were all fussing to get into a line along the fence for the captains to pick. Mark calmly took his place in the middle of the line, trying to make himself obvious. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

8: Chapter 2 THE CHOOSING | The choosing started. The first captain shouted “You!” and pointed at a slim boy in a blue jacket that seemed to be way larger than Mark. The second captain looked at the first with jealousy, and pointed at another of the colossal teenagers in the line. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

9: As the sun dragged on, both captains kept on calling out who they wanted, and progressively the teams grew. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

10: Soon, only two more players were lined up against the fence. One was Mark. He was filled with a mixture of inquisitiveness and irritation. Why didn't they choose him? He was yearning to know although he did not ask since he was a bit shy when he was in nervous circumstances like this. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

12: The first captain shouted “You!” and pointed at the person alongside Mark. Mark felt let down. How could this happen? Finally the second captain silently pointed at him and he briskly walked over to his team. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

15: He was met by a series of teasing and mocking. Everybody kept on calling him shorty and laughed at him. It was only until the captains calmed them down to play a match that they stopped. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

17: Mark felt good with the basketball in his hands. He dribbled the ball expertly, weaving through the stunned looks of the opposition. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

18: Soon, he came in front of the hoop. This was the most crucial part of everything. This was the target. Mark inhaled deeply and threw the ball. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

20: This time, no one mocked or teased him. The whole court was full of astounded silence. The ball went straight through the hoop. It was followed by a sudden cheering and all Mark's team members came to pat him on the back, and they were all overjoyed. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew

21: As the sun set, Mark had scored a lot of goals and now everybody did not think of him as a short, little teenager. He was a basket ball champion. | COPYRIGHTED.©Limited. Moses Liew
