3: They lived in the eastern and lower sections of America and flourished between 900 and 1300 A.D.

4: They grew Corn, Beans and Squash. | They also traded these items. | They were farmers.

5: They wore clothes that looked somewhat like this.

6: They used hoes to help them plant seeds (top.) They also used these ax heads as weapons and to chop down trees (bottom.)

7: They lived in huts, such as this one.

8: Made stone effigies (top,) Pictographs and Petroglyph's (middle,) and they made pottery (bottom.)

9: They used weapons such as ax heads and arrow heads to hunt animals such as deer, rabbit, squirrel and bear. | They are Hunter-Gatherers.

10: These are the animals that they hunted and ate.

11: Archaeologists are scientists who dig up the remains of prehistoric people.The remains they dig up are artifacts. Artifacts can include anything left behind from the prehistoric people, such as bones, tools, pottery, writing and more.

12: The Mississippian Indians were Indians that were Temple Mound Builders. | They are Mound Builders.

13: They used their mounds for many different reasons such as religious ceremonies and more.
