Today When I got Home from school i looked and saw a new car in the driveway.......I ran in the House to ask my mom what happened to our horses and whose car that was Outside she said thats our new car it helps us so we wont have to go threw the whole process of getting the horses ready and cleaning up after them.! Then I went up to my room and I Realized that we no longer had candles it was a electric light but i liked it because they lit up the whole room unlike the candles:.! Plus I just got a new phone......See you later my aunts calling:.!
now Since the prohibition is over i am very sad..Because my dad goes out every day after work...he goes to the bar and when he comes back home he is always angry he gets very abusive and i am scared for me,my mom, and all of my siblings...not only that i am scared for my fathers health and his safETY BECAUSE HE DRIVES HOME AFTER WORK. I miss it when drinking was illegal...
All things grow better with love.
we are moving...my parents thought it would be a good idea...because of the scarce of jobs and low paying here in richmond....now we are moving to detroit. i am very happy because with all the jobs then i will be able to get alot of stuff. plus we are moving to escape the discrimination and violence here in the south. now since we moved here we are starting not to like it the jobs are very good but we still are discriminated against and its more violence.
Tonight I went to a show with my mom.We went to see Bessie Smith. She is the best blues singer of our time. She sung "Me and my Gin". It was kinda depressing but at the same time its a beautiful song I kind like it.I felt happy.
Today when I came home from my friends house my dad had some devastating news for us he has lost his job. I am very scared what if we become homeless. How will my mom and dad take care of all of us without a job. How would they even raise enough money for us to have food.
A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
