BC: This book is about Taylor and her life. In it you can find pictures and facts about her and her family,, her as a baby, and about her career.

1: Taylor Alison Swift was born in Reading, PA on December 13, 1989.

2: Taylor started performing at the age of 10 and just one year later she sang the National Anthem at a Philadelphia 76ers NBA game.

3: She was also a gifted poem writer. In just 4th grade she won first place in a national poetry contest with a three page poem titled, "Monster in My Closet."

4: When Taylor was only ten, a computer repairman taught her how to play three chords on the guitar. That is when she became interested in learning how to play. Shortly afterwards, she wrote her first song called, "Lucky You."

5: While Taylor was growing up, she attended Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, TN up until her junior year. From there on, she was home-schooled for her junior and senior years and earned her high school diploma in 2008.

7: At the age of 14, she became the youngest songwriter signed to a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. | At a showcase at the Bluebird Cafe, Taylor caught the attention of Scott Borchetta, who was at the time planning to launch a new label. | He signed her to his label, Big Machine Records, and that is when Taylor's career started.

9: In each of these pictures you can find Taylor and her mom: Andrea Gardner (a homemaker who previously worked in finance), her dad: Scott Kingsley Swift (a stockbroker), and her younger brother Austin.

10: Eventually, Taylor started writing songs regularly. When she was a child she was a victim of bullying and was depressed because she didn't fit in at school. For her, writing songs was an outlet where she could let out all of her pain.

11: Swift would perform at local karaoke contests, fairs, and festivals. When she was 11, she took her first trip to Nashville, Tennessee. She then began to visit Nashville and work with local song writers all the time. Then when she was 14, her family moved there. Soon after that, she had her first big show at the Bloomsburg Fair.

13: So far, Swift has put out 3 full albums: "Taylor Swift", "Speak Now", and "Fearless". Her two EPs or Extra albums are "Sounds of the Seasons", and "Beautiful Eyes". | Taylor's Fearless album topped the 2009 sales charts, moving 3.2 million units, while fans downloaded another 12 million tracks from iTunes and Amazon. Her third album-"Speak Now", sold over 1 million copies during the week it was released. | During the year 2010, Taylor brought in a profit of 45 million dollars. That put her in a tie at No. 9 with Judge Judy on the list of entertainment's highest-earning women.

15: Taylor is a very talented songwriter, singer and guitarist and she has won many awards.
