3: He never went to college; he was drafted into the NBA as soon as he graduated from St. Vincent–St. Mary High School.

4: Lebron was born to a 16 year old mother, Gloria Marie James, who raised LeBron on her own. life was a struggle for LeBron, who moved from apartment to apartment in the seedier neighborhoods of Akron while Gloria had a hard time to find steady work.

5: Lebron’s mother Gloria allowed LeBron to move in with the family of Frank Walker, a local youth football coach, who introduced LeBron to basketball when LeBron was nine years old.

6: Lebron played Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for the Northeast Ohio Shooting Stars. The team enjoyed success on a local and national level, the team was led by Lebron and his friends Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce III, and Willie McGee.

7: In his freshman year in High School, Lebron averaged 21 points and 6 rebounds per game for St. Vincent-St. Mary's varsity team.

8: As a freshman, he was named the team’s starting small forward an averaged 20 points per game in leading his team to a 27-0 record and the Division III State championship.

9: After this freshman year, Lebron took the number “23 in honor of his childhood idol, Michael Jordan.

10: Lebron James entered the NBA in 2003-2004 and had an immediate impact. During his rookie season he became the youngest person in NBA history to score 40 points in a game and became the youngest person to win the Rookie of the Year award. He averaged 20.9 points per game, 5.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds.

11: He has two children named Lebron James Jr and Bryce Maximus James. Lebron Jr was born on October 6, 2004 and Bryce was born on June 14, 2007.
