Fire, a poem for my Grandma on Mother's Day. I know a woman who is beautiful and strong. her love knows no boundaries. in a time that has long since past she would welcome me with open arms into a tight embrace that could not be broken. today, she sits tall and poised in her eyes, the faint glimmer of a spark. the fire in her heart cannot be smothered. the flames continue to dance as her heart beats on. each pulsing beat sounds like a drum, and sends the blood coursing through her veins. in her mind, the seeds of
creativity are planted and begin to blossom. as she puts her pen to paper a smile creeps across her lips and the glimmer in her eyes begins to brighten. she begins to write.

There aren't any more psalms in my hands, or deep down in my mind. they are like migrating birds flying back to You, my Lord. The five talents that you have bestowed on me, I did try to multiply, honoring you.
Mother I remember how not so long long ago you sang sweetly to me, while the autumn wind chased melancholy leaves into the fading sunlight. And I remember, how you told me that the road is long and full of windy paths, and that I have to be stronger for the warm sunlight all too quickly freezes into the winder's deep slumber. As you kissed my forehead, Twilight closed its weary eyelids And dreamt with me of happy and free seagulls flying to kiss the sun upon the calm summer shores.
And now, even though its spring, the autumn leaves still seem to dance a wild tango in search of shelter, come, take my hand and once again, we will search for the happiness that so quickly eluded you when the autumn turned into winter. Don't let the sundown deepen the lines around your lips, for today, I bring you eternal sunlight in my eyes, in hope that the newly found gladness of my love born with the gentle April showers will flow into your heart and, once again, you will sing sweetly to me.
