FC: Jeffrey and The Snow Steeler | By: Heather Mesko

This book is dedicated to Jeffrey, the boy who keeps a smile on my face.

Once upon a mid-winter day, a boy named Jeffrey was getting ready to go play in the snow.

He was going to build a snowman.

Now Jeffrey loved to play football with his dad. His favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers. So, instead of a snowman, he was going to make a Snow Steeler!

Jeffrey ran outside once he had his snow gear on, and started rolling the body for his Snow Steeler.

Soon enough, Jeffrey had started to roll the bottom part of the Snow Steelers' body. And as he rolled, it got bigger, | and bigger, | and bigger, | and bigger!

Before he knew it it was time to give his Snow Steeler a face and clothing.

As Jeffrey was finishing putting the carrot nose on his Snow Steeler, he stepped back to take a look at his creation.

"Hmmm..., it needs something. But what's missing?" Jeffrey thought to himself.

Suddenly, it hit him like a snowball. "A helmet!" he cried aloud.

Jeffrey ran to the side door of his house, and quickly took off his Cars snow boots.

"Mom, where's my Steelers helmet?" Jeffrey asked his mom. "It's in your treasure chest in your room, but I'll get it for you," she answered. "Thanks mom!" Jeffrey said.

As Jeffrey's mom came down the stairs with the helmet, Jeffrey met her half way and she gave it to him. "Thanks mom!" he shouted as he was partially out the door.

Jeffrey quickly put his boots on and ran back outside with his helmet in hand.

He was so excited to put the finishing touch on his Snow Steeler, that he jumped as high as he could to get the helmet on his Snow Steeler.

Jeffrey took a step back to look at his Snow Steeler. "Yeah! Steelers!!" Jeffrey exclaimed. He ran to the backyard, and picked up his football. When he got back to his creation, he stuck the football in his stick arms.

And finally, Jeffrey's Snow Steeler was finished.
