1: Dear person who bought this book, First of all I would like to thank you for buying this book. It means a lot to me that you enjoy my art enough to buy it. I hope you enjoy the art in here as much as I enjoyed drawing it. Thank you, Marcie "M.J." Pennington
2: What is an Anthro? Anthro is short for Anthropomorphism or personification is any attribution of human characteristics (or characteristics assumed to belong only to humans) to other animals, non-living things, phenomena, material states, objects or abstract concepts, such as organizations, governments, spirits or deities. The term was coined in the mid 1700s. Examples include animals and plants and forces of nature such as winds, rain or the sun depicted as creatures with human motivations, and/or the abilities to reason and converse. The term derives from the combination of the Greek (ánthrpos), "human" and (morph), "shape" or "form". Why do you Draw Anthros? They are enjoyable to draw, and I dont think "Isn't Life Funny" would have been the same with anything but my Anthro characters who were inspired by people in my life.
3: "Isn't Life Funny" Art and Sketches Each character was based on someone in my life at first. Some grew their own personalities and others never changed
4: These are some of the first character sketches for "Isn't Life Funny" There were more like Dave Mantis and Jimbat, but I no longer have those for reasons.
13: Most fun I had was when I was able to cross over my world with other friends worlds
17: Every Characters story is important. If it wasn't it wouldn't have been told.
18: Comics I wanted to be an artist for as long as i could remember, and drawing the comics made me and others smile which made me want to draw more.
29: I don't know how it happened. I drew Jimbat and put him in a couple comics and before I knew it he was the fans favorite character. I kept getting requests and little fan stories. It was nuts!
34: Everyday little moments inspired a lot of the comics.
38: << This comic wound up being the last comic I drew for "Isn't Life Funny" for a long time.
42: The Pregnancy of Sasha Huskie Stuff happened in my life and I wound up incorporating it into one of my characters named Sasha. She wound up turning into the leading lady of the "Isn't Life Funny" comics and I didnt notice it.That is pretty bad considering i was the artist.
46: Finding a new love Bad thing about making characters after people when certain people leave or hurt you. You cant stand looking at anything that has to do with them. So Sashas' friends went looking for her a new guy.
52: Little fact: Alan Kyiatt was not inspired by anyone he is 100% made up.
53: and so was his twin brother.
54: The Twins Sasha was pregnant with twins. At this time I was pregnant with my son and I didnt know what I was having so I gave her both. People have called them skunks but they arent they are half huskie and half panda.
59: For those who dont know Tedo is Sashas adopted older brother. He loves his little sister so i thought it fit for him to be the first to see the cublings in the comic.
60: Sasha and Alans' Happily Ever After The Perfect Ending
62: Getting Over the Past After I had my son I had a lot on my mind and so did the fans they wanted to know what happened to Danny Panda.WEll lets just say here are some of the brain storms....
67: Thats all for "Isn't Life Funny" it hasnt been updated in a while but the fans from it still incourage me as well as my friends and family. I have started a new project. For the moment it is called "Fantasy Anthro" and is just drawings and sketches I hope to do a lot with it in the future. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.
