S: Thoughts, Lessons Learned and Favorites Collected Through The Years
FC: It matters not how long we live, but how. | Don't go through life, grow through life.
They Call Me Hero Carol Kochhar-Bryant They call me hero... But a hero doesn't walk out empty-handed. A hero's hands are searching, digging, pulling, climbing. A hero marches out in triumph holding one life. one hope, within his grasp. They call me hero though my hands are empty it appears, save for a pool of tears. I asked, why call me hero then... and they answered It's not what you walked out with, but that you walked in.
Be someone who listens, and you will be heard. who cares, and you will be loved. who gives, and you will be blessed. who comforts and you know peace. who genuinely seeks to understand, and you will be wise who is kind and considerate, and you will be admired. who values truth and you will be respected. who takes action, and you will move life forward. who lives with joy and purpose, as your own light rightly shines. who lifts others higher, and your life will be rich. who is filled with gratitude, and there will be no end for which you will be thankful.
The Strength of A Man Jacqueline Marie Griffiths The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders, It's in the width of his arms that encircle you. The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice, it's in the gentle words he whispers. The strength of a man isn't in how many buddies he has, it's how good a buddy he is to his kids. The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work, it's in how respected he is at home. The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits, It's in how tender he touches. The strength of a man isn't in the hair on his chest, It's in his heart that lies within his chest. The strength of a man isn't in how many women he's loved, It's in being true to one woman. The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift, It's in the burdens he can carry.
Love your parents and treat them with loving care For you will only know their value when you see their empty chair
After all it is Life We are often let down by the most trusted person and loved by the most unexpected ones... Some make us cry for things that we haven't done, while some others ignore all our faults just to see our smile. Some leave us when we need them the most and some stick around to us even when we ask them to leave... The world is a mixture of such people...we just need to know... which hand to shake and which hand to hold!
You have a purpose... You are on this earth for a reason... to learn, to teach, to love. Remember that you make a difference in every life you touch. So go forth and be the best you that you can be. | All we have in this life is a moment. That is why it is so important to make each and every moment we have count. By telling the people in our lives how much we love them, by not waiting for a special occasion to use the good dishes and to have fun whenever we can.
Let our hearts never get used to the miracles that happen around us and within us everyday. Let every sunrise, every flower, every smile, every raindrop and every child make us rejoice at the miracles in our lives.
A smile costs nothing, but gives much, It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, yet the memory of it may last forever. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business and is the sign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and is nature's best antidote to trouble, yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is of no value to anyone else unless it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours. No one needs a smile as much as those who have none to give.
Close friends and relatives, while not meaning to do so, often handicap one through opinions and sometimes through ridicule. Thousands of men and women carry inferiority complexes with them all through life, because some well-meaning but ignorant person destroyed their confidence through opinions or ridicule. Napoleon Hill | Why do people accept the opinions of others about themselves as truth? Who is going to live the rest of your life anyway? Now that is truth!! Doug Firebaugh
Never apologize for showing your feelings. Never regret, being who you truly are. For those who matter will love you no matter what! | This is for those who: are attractive, but don't feel it. Are hurting but not showing it. Are scared, but have their brave face on. Are dying, but living like they're not. Are broken inside, but look perfect on the outside.
