S: A sea of whispers

FC: A sea of whispers

Each image in this collection has a story, a secret and an essence to capture. Just as a whisper weaves its magic tale, so speaks the light filtering through the lens of my camera. Writer/photographer: Kelly Ruehle 2009

Contentment ensued in a slip covered chair near the open window, a warm salty breeze licked my skin while the tattered curtains flowed with breath. Wild roses and rambling vines made a lacuna to the door; it felt hidden and safe just like a secret being whispered in the wind.

In everything I see and do, you, are there. Your essence captured with each passing moment and your reflection witnessed in every tiny dew drop.

Colorful but uncomplicated, warm and true, there's beauty in all things simple and simplicity in all things beautiful.

She loved-you were born. She said-you listened, you grew-she died, you remembered her words... You loved-she was born, you said-she listened, she grew-you died, she remembered your words...

The bitter frost melted into a gentle shower while the trees glistened in the sun. I smiled because I knew that there is never a problem too bitter or frosty to melt.

Every bitter frost is followed by a gentle thaw.

laugh as often as you can | love as long as you live | enjoy as much as you can | soar as high as you dare

Note to self Love yourself first- everything else follows

A seed is planted without any guarantees. No way to know if it will grow and prosper but the anticipation is worth the risk. The meadow outside my window is tended to by a horticulturist. He, from time to time, plants a few seeds for no other reason than he can. I have the privilege of waiting and watching. Just a year ago I watched this man toss a few seeds to the wind, the very same seeds I've enjoyed from behind the lens of my camera. Surely he never imagined that his actions would befall the eyes of so many. So as you're reaching for the stars and when you sometimes graze the moon, remember every action causes a ripple and leaves a mark forever- you can't fall out of time.

The prelude to a kiss begins with kind words softly spoken, as two lips tenderly melt into one. A look exchanged; a feeling nurtured; a spell is cast and then the dance begins.

Softly she whispers to me as the morning light peeks through the trees. A most vivid blue catches my eye while it lingers across the sky. A long breath fills the chest before a deep sigh compels my stress to elope. I'm drifting softly before falling, hard, under her spell and just like a lover- I'm there...

A world without conflict. Life in a peaceful kingdom. unconditional love for all.

I'm lost in the moment and hushed by the mystery. I'm calmed by the silence while caught up in the dream. What comes next?

She fights for her life on her way up the stream, as each and every ripple brings her closer to the dream. She continues her journey, while letting go of the past and each and every step she takes is infinitely better than her last.

Every door holds a secret which often forces a curious hand, to beg, for what lies beyond.

Behind her bashful smile slept a world of eloquent truths, passionate, pure, and oh so enchanting.

Dreamy like the sky, elusive as the wind, blossoms in the rain, ripens in the sun, essence of a flower, romance of the sea, and that is why, you are, so special, to me.

A promise for the future floats on the breeze, during moments of laughter, because everyone has a place and everything is on its way to somewhere- I promise
