Sunday the 12th: First day in Oahu, Tia's 16th birthday, we went to church, the Pali Lookout and then went to the Cheesecake Factory. The girls celebrated Tia's birthday at a spa on Monday while Mason and Dad hiked Diamond Head Volcano and then we all went banana boating, and then boogie boarding.
 Monday-Spa Day!
 banana boating!
Tuesday: Dad and the girls went to the Laie Temple. After we all went to the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Wednesday the 15th: Celebrated Jacoy turning 13 by going to the swap meet, snorkeling at Shark's Cove, and getting pizza and watching Gnomeo and Juliet back at the resort.
Thursday- Dad, Aubree, and Tia went scuba diving | After, we all went to the beach except mom, she had a headache | While Mom, Jacoy and Mason went to the zoo and the aquarium
Friday- We all hiked to a waterfall, and then stopped off at Leonard's for hot Malasadas which were delicious, then we flew to the big island of Hawaii, city Kona. We arrived very pleased with our beautiful new home that was very large compared to our last place. We washed our clothes and Mom went shopping for the week.
Saturday- All of us except Mason went to the Kona Temple (which was only six miles away from our resort) to do baptisms. Then we went back to our place and floated around in the pool for the remainder of the day. A lovely beginning to the laid back week ahead of us.
Tuesday- Drove to the Black Sand Beach at 35 M.P.H. which drove Mom crazy. Then we met up with Dexter and Connie Irvin at a volcano.
Sunday, Father's day- went to sacrament meeting and listened to some girl sing who sounded like Snow White, then went home and made Dad a pot roast dinner and icecream with kit-kats for dessert. We finished up the day by driving to Captain Cook Lookout and admired the beautiful sunset.
Monday- Snorkeled in the ocean, experienced some cold spots in the water, many of us were scared by the strong current. As we were leaving the girls got checked out by some grungy Hawaiian boys. We then went to Bongo Ben's and Mom had a Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich.
Wednesday- Went to a beautiful white sand beach with perfect turquoise-colored water. We boogie boarded and tanned; Mom and Dad went snorkeling.
Thursday- Dad and Aubree cliff jumped into the ocean, Dad and mom went on a helicopter ride and the chillins stayed at the pool.
Friday- Checked out of the resort at 10 a.m., shopped at market ate at Rosa's Cantina, ate another round of shave ice, went to the airport, flew during the night and landed in L.A. then Vegas, then drove home in our broken into minivan. Made it home by five, already missing those wonderful islands we had grown to love.
This once of a lifetime trip was made possible because the family supported mom being on the city council for 4 years. She was paid $184/month which she did not spend a penny of it and saved it all for Hawaii - $8848. Mom had also been saving points | on the credit cards for years to get free flights. This was the last big Lyman family trip with all young Lyman kids together as Aubree was leaving for college in the fall. | We had the best time ever. Everyone was so cheerful and enjoyed being together. We could have even gone longer than 2 weeks. It was the best of times with the best people which are best of friends!!!!
