5: People in Ghana Celebrate Christmas from the 20th of December to first week in January with lots of different activities. Many people travel to visit their relatives & friends in other parts of the country. Over 66 languages are spoken in Ghana & all these language groups have their own traditions & customs. Christmas Eve night is the time when the celebrations really start with Church services that have drumming & dancing. Children often put on a NativityPlay or other drama. Then choirs come out to sing & people come out in front of the priests to dance. Songs are mostly sang in the languages that the people understand best. This makes them feels that God speaks their language. Sometimes these services & dancing go all night long. Other people celebrate Christmas Eve with fireworks & parties. On Christmas people come out dressed in their colorful traditional clothes. Traditional food includes stew or okra soup, porridge & meats, rice & a yam paste called 'fufu'.

7: South Asia Weddings | South Asian Weddings are very bright events, filled with ritual and celebration, that continue for several days. They are generally not small affairs, with anywhere between 100 to 10,000 people attending.

9: Often, it is possible that many of the attendees are unknown to the bride and groom themselves. Though most Indian marriages are arranged, some couples in urban areas have what are known as "love marriages," in which the partners decide to marry each other without family in love ment or assistance. The traditional Indian wedding is about two families being brought together socially, with as much emphasis placed on the families concerned coming closer as the individuals involved. Many of the wedding customs are common among Hindus, Jain, Sikhs, and even Muslims. They are a combination of local, religious, and family traditions. The period of Hindu marriage ceremonies dates from the presenting tilak, and is called lagan / [Shaadi ].
