2: Taiga areas are mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. Like Canada, western Russia, Scandinavia, Northern Eurasia, Lamar valley in Yellow Stone National Park, Denali in Alaska, and Labrador. The Taiga biome is also called The Boreal Forest. | Taiga Areas

3: Taiga is the dark green area on the map.

4: Taiga Animals There is a variety of animals in the Taiga regions. Here are some that you might know: 1. The wolverine which eats some deer, caribou, and moose. 2. The Snowshoe Rabbit eats mainly grass, ferns, leaves, twigs, forbs, and shrubs. This rabbit really blends in good with snow. 3. The Long-Eared Owl eats mainly small mammals, small birds, snakes, and insects. Its wingspan is bigger then its self. 4. The Canadian lynx eats Snowshoe rabbits, rodents, birds, and fish. This animal is similar to a bobcat. They are also under the Endangered Species Act.

6: Taiga Plants In Taiga biomes some plants are: 1. Birch trees which have broad leaves and allow snow to slide to the Earth. 2. The Willow also have broad leaves, and they shed their leaves. 3. The blueberry shrubs are another example they grow low to the ground. 4. The Red-Osier dogwood bushes/trees grow about medium size in Taiga areas.

8: Taiga Climate. Taiga temperatures can range from 70 degrees to -65 degrees f. It gets anywhere from 12-33in of rain a year. It can contain 24 hours of sunlight a day during the warm months. Cold weather lasts from 6-7 months. The rest are sunny and warm.
