3: It was Sunday morning, I woke up and decided to make us some pancakes for breakfast. As I was in the kitchen, Jon came in and asked "What's today?" I replied "today is December 13th" Jon stated "today is going to be a great day!" I just stared at him like he was crazy for a moment, and then continued mixing the pancake batter. It had stormed during the night and everything was covered in a layer of snow and ice. During breakfast Jon made fun of the pancakes, because they turned out looking more like triangles instead of circles in shape. Jon inquired about my daily plans, and as he assumed they weren't much, thanks to the weather. After Jon showered and encouraged me to get my butt in gear, he proceeded to dig out the Christmas tree and decorations. While I was showering and getting ready for the day, Jon was was struggling with assembling the tree. After Jon had completed the not so simple task of Christmas tree construction, he rested as I happily began decorating the tree with ornaments. After some decorating, I sat down on the ottoman, and shared how it was finally starting to feel like Christmas and how happy and excited I was feeling. While Jon walked into the spare bedroom he said "I'm very happy knowing your so excited, and I hope this will be one of the best Christmas's of our lives." He returned to the living room got down on one knee in front of me and our Christmas tree, he took my hand and looked into my eyes, All I could get out was "Oh my god, What are you doing?" As I repeated myself he pulled out that beautiful ring box. He opened it up and right then I knew this was the real thing, He Asked "Will you Marry Me?" and of course I exclaimed "Yes!!!" Then came the waterworks, Jon even cried a little bit too. We were both so very happy and he was right, it was one of the best and most memorable Christmas' of our lives.
