Question 1

What paper options and finishes are available for custom Christmas photo cards?

Accepted Answer

Custom Christmas photo cards on Mixbook can be printed on Signature Matte, Satin Sheen, or Premium Luxurious Matte cardstock. Signature Matte provides a classic finish, Satin Sheen adds a subtle luster, and Premium Luxurious Matte is Mixbook's thickest cardstock available for extra durability. Creators can also apply real foil accents in gold, rose gold, or silver to enhance their cards.

Question 2

What is the difference between flat, folded, and magnetic Christmas photo cards?

Accepted Answer

Flat Christmas photo cards display photos and text on a single double-sided card, folded Christmas cards open like a traditional greeting card to provide extra interior space for messages or photo collages, and magnetic cards feature a full magnetic backing that sticks directly to metal surfaces like refrigerators. Mixbook custom Christmas cards offer all three format options across their entire holiday template library.

Question 3

How do year-in-review photo cards differ from traditional Christmas picture cards?

Accepted Answer

Year-in-review Christmas photo cards focus on multi-photo collage layouts accompanied by custom text sections to highlight key family milestones and events from the preceding twelve months. Traditional Christmas cards generally feature one prominent primary photo alongside standard seasonal holiday greetings.

Question 4

Can you add real foil accents to personalized Christmas cards?

Accepted Answer

Real foil accents in gold, rose gold, and silver can be added to custom Christmas photo cards on Mixbook. Foil lettering and embellishments add a raised, metallic shine to card text, graphic borders, and decorative holiday motifs like stars or snowflakes.

Question 5

Can you upload photos directly from social media to design custom holiday cards?

Accepted Answer

Photos can be uploaded directly from a computer, the Mixbook mobile app, Facebook, or Instagram when designing customized Christmas cards on Mixbook. Once uploaded, photos can be cropped, rotated, scaled, and placed into single-photo or multi-photo layout templates.

Question 6

Does Mixbook offer recipient addressing and return-addressed envelopes for holiday cards?

Accepted Answer

Envelope addressing services for both recipient addresses and return addresses are available when ordering custom holiday cards through Mixbook. Creators can select from various typography styles and font colors on the envelopes to match their card's overall theme.

Question 7

How early should custom Christmas photo cards be created and ordered?

Accepted Answer

Custom Christmas cards are typically created and ordered in mid-October to early-November, allowing sufficient time for photo selection, printing, envelope addressing, and holiday mail delivery. Ordering early also lets senders take advantage of seasonal discounts, such as Mixbook's introductory offers on first orders.

Question 8

What are the shipping options and delivery timelines for custom Christmas cards?

Accepted Answer

Custom Christmas card orders generally take 1 to 4 business days for printing and production, with non-foil cards processing in 1 to 3 days and real foil cards taking up to 4 business days. Senders can choose from domestic U.S. shipping speeds ranging from Economy (5 to 10 business days) and Standard (7 business days) to Expedited (2 to 3 business days) or Rush shipping (1 to 2 business days).
