Why should I download the Mixbook app?

The Mixbook app is the easiest and most fun way to create on your mobile device. The app includes a version of Mixbook Studio specifically designed to be used on your mobile device. You can easily access photos from your camera roll or other sources, start projects, edit, purchase and track delivery.

The app is also the home of Story Mode, Mixbook's AI-powered photo book creator. Simply answer a few questions, upload your photos, and Story Mode will automatically design a personalized photo book based on your memories. Learn more about Story Mode.

What is Story Mode?

Story Mode is the best online photo book maker and generates a fully designed book based on your design preferences throughout the experience. Here's how it works:

1. Download or open the Mixbook app

2. Answer a few questions. Tell Story Mode your preferences for style, tone, and how much text you’d like included.

3. Upload your photos. Select photos directly from your device.

4. Choose your design. Story Mode generates fully designed books based on your design preferences throughout the experience

5. Review it. Fine-tune, swap photos, or adjust layouts in Mixbook Studio™ - or leave it exactly as is.

6. Print it. When you're happy with your book, place your order and Mixbook handles the rest.

Who can download the Mixbook app?

Anyone with an iOS mobile device can download the Mixbook app. We support iOS 16 or later. We also have app specifically designed for iPads.

Why are you asking to ‘Access my photos’?

Sharing your photo allows Mixbook to access your photos to add them to projects.

What types of photo projects can I do on the Mixbook app?

In addition to starting photo books, you can start cards, calendars and a variety of home decor projects directly in the app. If you already started a project on desktop, no problem! You can access that same project from the Mixbook app at any time.

How do I track my order in the Mixbook app?

Recent orders show automatically on your home screen. You can also tap the hamburger icon in the lower left (3 stacked horizontal lines) followed by My Orders. Here, you can tap to see the status of any active or historical orders. Finally, if you enable push notifications, you will get alerts relating to your order and delivery.
