The first step in creating a yearbook is choosing a theme from our 70+ Yearbook/School themes. Each theme is 100% customizable, so you can personalize it with your own school colors, logo, and much more!

The best way to collect photos for your yearbook is by creating a shared Google Photos album that allows other school members or parents to upload photos directly. When creating your book, you can upload the entire album so the photos are easily accessible. There are no limits to the number of photos you can include in your book. Learn more here.

Once you select your theme, you can customize any page or cover. You can change the background color, shape, and text, and even search for fun stickers using the photobook toolbar on the left while editing. Our Mixbook Studio makes every item completely customizable.

Yes, you can collaborate with others on your Yearbook! Click on 'My Projects' in the upper right-hand corner when working on your desktop, then click 'Collaborate' to share the project with a fellow Yearbook helper. Everyone will need their own Mixbook account to access the project and make changes. If they don’t have an account, they can sign up for a free one. From there, you can invite them to collaborate by adding their email addresses. Keep in mind that only one person can edit a project at a time.

There’s no set number! Each school’s yearbook is unique. The best way to determine the page count is by starting with a template and figuring out what additional pages (or not) you might need. The page count will depend on the content you want to include, such as clubs, extracurricular activities, holidays and special events, student superlatives, and grad celebrations.

You can include up to 400 pages in your yearbook using the traditional (non-layflat) books. Happy Mixbooking!

The time it takes to design your yearbook depends on how much customization you do. If you're creating a simple yearbook without too many details, you can finish in less than a week!

The most popular size for a yearbook is 8.5x11. However, since each yearbook is unique, our team will work with you to help determine the best size for your school!
