To add text to a photo book, launch the project in Mixbook Studio™ and follow these steps:
- Open the Text panel to the left of the workspace.
- Click on the “Add Text” button at the top of the panel. A gray text box will appear at the end of your cursor.
- Click on the page where you want to add text.
- Double-click in the middle of the new text box—a text cursor will appear.
- Type or paste your text.
You can now edit and style the text and move the text box into the perfect position.
Many of Mixbook’s pre-designed photo book themes feature text elements such as titles on the cover page, page headers, and accent text. It’s easy to edit or remove these text elements.
To remove a text box, click on it once, then click the “Remove” button in the pop-up menu. To edit the placeholder text, double click on the text box, click and drag over the text to highlight it, then type or paste your own wording. You can then style the text using tools in the Text panel.
To change the font for text you’ve added to a photo book, double click inside the text box and highlight the text. In the Text panel, locate the drop-down menu under “Text Styles” and choose from more than 100 typeface options. You can also find tools in the Text panel to make text bold or italic, change the alignment (right, left, center, or justified), change the text size, color, and more.
Yes! You can definitely layer text over a photo to create a visually appealing design. Drag the text box over the photo into the position you want. If needed, click the “Forward” or “Back” buttons in the pop-up menu to make sure the text box is layered in front of the photo.
You might need to change the color of the text for readability—choose a text color with high contrast to the background color in the photo.
